CM Punjab e-Bike Scheme 2026 – Electric Bikes for Students

Government of the Punjab (in partnership with Bank of Punjab)

pending_announcement

Under this scheme, eligible students can select either an Electric Bike (E-Bike) or a Petrol Bike (P-Bike) — not both. The Bank of Punjab (BOP) provides financing of up to PKR 250,000 for E-Bikes and up to PKR 150,000 for Petrol Bikes. As required by the State Bank of Pakistan, the applicant must pay 30% equity upfront; the remaining amount is financed by BOP. The Government of Punjab contributes PKR 20,000 toward each eligible student's down payment and bears the entire loan mark-up (interest) — meaning installments carry no interest. Phase-1 of the scheme was initially launched for select districts, with an equal quota for male and female students at the divisional level and a proportional quota for the rest of Punjab. If applications exceed the available quota, a transparent computerized e-balloting process is conducted based on domicile district.
