How the Eligibility Score (PMT) WorksWhen you complete the PSER survey, the system calculates a Proxy Means Test (PMT) poverty score from your family size, home type, assets (vehicle, land, livestock), education, and expenses. A lower score means greater need — for this program the qualifying PMT score is generally below 35 — and a lower score improves your chances — so give accurate, complete information. Under- or over-reporting can push your score out of the eligible band.
