Punjab Sehat Card (Sehat Insaf Card)

What this scheme actually does

The Sehat Card lets eligible Punjab residents receive cashless in-patient treatment at empaneled (approved) government and private hospitals, up to a yearly coverage limit. Your CNIC acts as the card — you show the original CNIC at an empaneled hospital and a Hospital Facilitation Officer helps with admission.

Who it is for (and whether you may qualify)

Punjab residents identified as eligible by PHIMC (families registered under BISP/NSER are typically identified automatically). Because policy has changed, always check your own current eligibility officially rather than assuming.

What is and isn’t covered

• Covered: hospital admissions/surgeries and certain major treatments at empaneled hospitals, up to the annual limit.
• Not covered: OPD (outpatient) visits, and specific exclusions such as cosmetic and dental procedures — check the official list.

How it works

• Check your eligibility on the official PHIMC portal.
• If eligible, go to an empaneled hospital with your original CNIC when admission is needed.
• Ask the Hospital Facilitation Officer to process treatment under the card.

• Expecting OPD/outpatient cover — only admissions are covered.
