When You Need It Fast

If you need your passport quickly for travel, study or work, DGIP offers faster processing categories. Urgent and Fast Track options deliver your passport in far less time than normal processing, for an additional fee.

Speed Options

  • Normal: up to ~21 working days
  • Urgent: ~5 working days
  • Fast Track: ~2 working days, at Executive Passport Offices in major cities

Good to Know

  • Fast Track is available at Executive Passport Offices (e.g., Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi).
  • You can convert a normal application to urgent by paying the fee difference online.
  • Courier delivery time is additional to the processing time.

Eligibility Criteria

Any eligible passport applicant (new or renewal) who needs faster processing.
Valid CNIC / NICOP holder.
Fast Track requires applying at an Executive Passport Office.

Valid CNIC (or B-Form for children)
Recent passport-size photograph
Previous passport (for renewal)
Fee payment (urgent / fast-track rate)

How to Apply — Step by Step

Apply online at dgip.gov.pk or at a Regional / Executive Passport Office and select the Urgent or Fast Track category.

For Fast Track (~2 days), apply at an Executive Passport Office in a major city.

Complete biometric capture and submit documents.

Pay the urgent / fast-track fee (higher than normal).

Track via dgip.gov.pk and collect or receive your passport.
