Service Overview
A full driving license is issued by your provincial traffic police after you pass both the theory and practical tests. The license card includes your photo, categories and validity, and is required by law for driving any motor vehicle in Pakistan.

Driving licenses are issued by provincial authorities — use the portal of the province where your CNIC address is registered. All links verified & official.
What this means for you
A new (full) driving licence is issued after you have held a learner permit, completed the waiting period, and passed the theory and practical tests. In Punjab the whole process runs through DLIMS, and your identity is checked against NADRA records.
Common mistakes to avoid

- Using the wrong province’s portal — licences are provincial.
How to verify you are on the official channel
In Punjab, use only dlims.punjab.gov.pk and the official Rasta app. Never pay an agent to “guarantee” a pass.
