Build a professional CV in minutes — free
Applying for a government job, a private sector position, or an internship in Pakistan? A clean, well-structured CV is the first thing an employer looks at. This free CV maker lets you fill in your details, pick from 12 professional designs, choose any colour you like, and download a print-ready PDF — without signing up, paying, or installing anything.
Everything runs inside your own browser. Your name, CNIC, phone number, photo and job history are never uploaded to any server, so your personal information stays entirely on your device.
How to make your CV
- Fill in your personal details. Name, job title, phone, email and city are the essentials. CNIC and a passport-size photo are optional, but most government departments in Pakistan expect both.
- Write a short objective. Two or three lines explaining who you are and the kind of role you want.
- Add your education. Start with your highest qualification and work backwards — degree, institute or board, year, and grade or division.
- Add your experience. Put each responsibility on its own line and it becomes a separate bullet point. No experience yet? Leave the section empty and it simply won’t appear.
- List your skills and languages. Separate each one with a comma.
- Pick a design and colour, then click Download PDF. In the print window, choose “Save as PDF” and turn on Background graphics so the colours are kept.
Which design should you choose?
The right template depends on where you are applying:
- Govt / Formal and Official — bordered, table-based bio-data layouts in the traditional style expected by government departments, semi-government organisations and public sector recruiters.
- Sidebar Dark, Sidebar Right and Dark Header — balanced, corporate designs that suit banks, NGOs, telecom, and established private companies.
- Creative, Wave, Geometric and Split Banner — bolder layouts for design, marketing, media and startup roles where standing out helps.
- Bold, Bold Blocks and Ribbon — strong typographic designs for mid-career and management applications.
If you are unsure, a simpler layout is always the safer choice. Many large employers scan CVs with automated systems, and a straightforward structure with clear headings is easier for those systems to read.
Tips for a stronger CV
- Keep it to one page if you have under five years of experience.
- Use numbers where you can. “Handled 50+ customer queries daily” says far more than “handled customer queries”.
- Match the job advertisement. If the ad asks for MS Excel and record keeping, make sure those exact words appear in your skills if you genuinely have them.
- Check your contact details twice. A wrong digit in your phone number is the most common reason candidates are never called.
- Use a plain, recent photograph with a light background if the position requires one.
- Save the file with your own name, for example Ahmed-Khan-CV.pdf, rather than leaving it as document.pdf.
CV writing guides
These guides cover the details this tool cannot decide for you — what to write, what to leave out, and what employers in Pakistan actually look for:
- CV format for government jobs in Pakistan — the structure departments expect, which personal details are required, and the formatting rules to follow.
- How to make a CV as a fresh graduate — how to build a strong one-page CV around your education and final year project when you have no work experience.
- 8 CV mistakes that cost you the interview — the errors that get applications set aside in the first minute, and how to avoid them.
Frequently asked questions
Is this CV maker really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark, no download limit and no paid tier. You can make as many CVs as you want.
Is my personal information safe?
Your details are processed entirely in your browser and are never sent to a server. Closing or refreshing the page clears everything, so save your PDF before you leave.
Can I write my CV in Urdu?
Yes. Any Urdu text you type is automatically displayed in the correct Nastaliq style with right-to-left alignment. You can mix English and Urdu in the same CV.
Why did my PDF come out without colours?
Browsers skip background colours when printing unless you allow them. In the print window, open More settings and tick Background graphics, then save again.
Can I edit the CV later?
The PDF itself is final, but you can return to this page at any time, re-enter your details, and download a fresh copy in a different design or colour.
Which format do employers in Pakistan prefer?
PDF is the safest choice because it looks identical on every device. Only send a Word file if the job advertisement specifically asks for one.
